trebles or single hooks on tip ups for bass?

i recomend a good sized single hook with barb ..ice fishing i use big bait holder hooks

hate circles. they're ok if theyre sharp, but thats it. no matter how long i let the fish hold on to the biat and how lightly i just pull to set the hook, i lost a lot more fish this season. besides, with the amount of time it took to wait before setting, most fish where gone.

went to almost totaly quick strike rigs with the double treble hooks. hooked my 6 pound largemouth perfetly in the side of the mouth with both. and i have never gut hooked a fish on a treble, especially a quick strike rig. its too large to get down their throat easy. as oppsed to a nice sharp circle hook that i gut hooked not once but twice this season.

I go with trebles, usually size 8 or 6 depending on how large my bait is.  Yet to gut hook a fish with a treble through the ice.  I havent been a big fan of baitholders when ice fishing as i tend to miss a lot more fish.  The only time i like circles is when i can quickly and smoothly recover line with a reel ( i use em almost exclusively for catty fishin and love em).  Havent had the greatest luck using circles through the ice so far...

i use size 2, 1 and sometines 1/0, but thats for pike
