Morey/Fairlee Ice?
« on: Feb 28, 2018, 03:06 PM »
How is the ice holding up at Morey and/or Fairlee? I have a room reserved for the weekend but don't want to make the trip or spend the dough if the ice is shot. It's 60 and sunny where I'm at and I've already been open water fishing twice. Hoping for one last hurrah before I pack the gear away.

cant speak for today or this coming weekend, but last weekend I stayed at my place on fairlee and the ice was plenty thick with trucks, shanties and even a plane.  that was Saturday, I think it was at least a foot of good ice.  probably more, not sure what they have had for weather so far this week.  shore line was slushy.
In it to win it!

Thanks for the reply. I was figuring I'd have to plank it regardless. Glad to hear there was that much ice left.

There were trucks driving full length on Fairlee yesterday...I didn’t measure but I think there was about 16-18” of ice.

Anybody go out recently? Is the ice still fine?
