Fished this weekend on LMR and Middle Thompson. Both produces a few decent fish, but nothing consistent. Also pretty wet crappy weather! Good ice on both lakes.

Will that vary from lake to lake? I'm also struggling to find consistent and large schools up on Dickey Lake, which is depressing because according to my fishing log, I was into them thick this time last year and it didn't matter whether I fished in the morning or evening.  Granted, at this time last year the lake had about 20" of ice while it only has about 4 now.

RuralMt, like to keep a log as well and have looked back to compare too and its never the same year to year,  sometimes you got to switch gears and try new things or places. I fill that working outside with trees and plants that this season is two weeks off give or take. just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the response Gfish, that's definitely reassuring.  Last year spoiled me, as it was my first year on hardwater and the salmon came awfully easy.  I'll just have to be more patient, haha.
