Marcum LX-3 or LX-5
« on: Nov 06, 2005, 07:45 PM »
Looking to possibly change my locator this year. I have been a happy FL-8 user, but have heard/read alot about the newest Marcum LX-5. Rather pricey, but I like nice toys. ;) I mostly fish in water that is anywhere from 15' to 35' and would like to know if the LX-3 would perform the same as the more powerful LX-5? I defineately like the upgraded true color, since I am so used to my Vex. I target mostly crappies/perch/ gills and some walleye. The Marcum's target seperation is a plus over the Vex from what I have read. I know the flasher debate has been ridden hard, but not too much info on using them in our somewhat shallower waters here in pA. Thanks for any input...........before I spend a bundle! :o
