Flaming Gorge 2019
« on: Nov 03, 2018, 11:51 PM »
Went out fishing today and got some nice suckers for bait! Can’t wait to hit the Gorge this year with you guys! Thought I would start a thread so that we can start talking about it.

My favorite place to go, and favorite trip.  This year I will be in Denver for my son's hockey tournament from the 17-21st of January.  I am going to try and make it up to the Gorge twice if possible however on other weeekends.  I'm sure I'll run into you gents one way or another up there.

I'll keep that weekend in mind when we start looking at when to go. We will more than likely do a day trip again this year to scout it out, maybe on that weekend

Definitely looking forward to the Gorge trip this year. Really wanting to spend time and extra effort on tracking down a trophy sized Mac this year. PIcked up a lake contour map with GPS references and the new to me quad set up to go find one. Bring on the ice.....!
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy fishing gear....and that's kind of the same thing.

Ice reports are looking good! I am planning on heading down on the 22nd or 23rd of January. Any talk of a recon trip?

Sitting at 12 degrees right now.

Lows in the single digits with light wind until early next week. I'm
Confident it will cap to confluence after the weekend, but I've been wrong before.

I could MAYBE help a guy or two out with a sizeable laker if we have the ice and I'm free. Just have to play it by ear!

That is a great offer! Keep us posted and I would definitely be interested. I also wanna put a nice Burbot on the wall for my wife to enjoy.
