December is here and its time to fire up the Diehards ice thread. I'll be trying to fill some deer tags while I'm waiting for ice up. It's been a pretty good fall walleye season so far. Hope to see all the regulars on here as well as some newbies! 🕳🎣

New Yorks ice season can officially begin. Lol. Can't wait to make my yearly trip down to chase some walleye.

Hey choo-choo, its King Slammin from LOU. We just booked our first group trip to Oneida for the year. Jan 22-26th. Hopefully I'll be able to get a few trips in before that but we need some ice first. Do any of you locals know if there is a place on the lake I can park my truck and trailer to camp for a few days? I have a new 12' enclosed trailer that I set up to haul gear, and was going to try sleeping in there to save a few bucks.

Meat in the freezer now time to fill it with fish hope she gardens up soon signed up for C trick at work this winter so I can spend more time on Oneida this year

You should be able to park at Godfrey point state launch on the north shore of the lake

Hey guys. Good to see this going again.

I think the fish are ready for ice just like the rest of us. I was out in the boat last weekend and the eyes and perch were already showing a good appetite for the early ice favorites.

Wasn't sure if we were having a diehard page this year. What's up Bobby, Bruce, Billy and Eddie. It's almost time for everyone to start whining about no ice. Im actually for the first time in no hurry with a new baby 8 week old diehard at home. We might have a winter like we did 4 seasons ago where the whole lake never froze over. I'll be ready when it gets here.

Well I fished hard last year in January and took some photos but blew my back out on January 29th missed the whole month of February and when my back started feeling better, I opted for fishin keuka as there was no snow on the ice, so when I make the video, it will have more trout pictures than walleye this year...

You won't catch me whining about no ice. Well, not for at least another month.

Perfect weather to get some firewood done for next winter. Plus do some post season scouting for next years deer season. Maybe shoot a few coyotes too...

gotta admit Shane....laker fishing that day with you guys was a great time.....not looking too good for Keuka this year as of right now, but could change at any time....gotta hook up on our lake this year
