Not many people do but I like to put a fly on the bottom of a hali/chain.  Gets down fast and they seem to like it.

Gona put my Chironomids in my box.

Was wanting to try it buttttt, i dont know why i didnt. My raps and pimples seemed to do the trick but now i have new ammo to try!

1 of my ice fishing buddies is also an avid fly fisherman with me, im gona surprise him lol
