For me, it’s a perfect day to sit by the fire and finally organize my ice gear.  Open water is officially over for me...  Bring on ice season!

I've got about 10" inches of new on the north end of the Springs, most of it in the last couple of hours and now some wind behind it. Monument Hill is no go. Wake and bake morning

and bear down on the new design for a pike deadstick snapper which will make JawJackers  obsolete.  Hoping for prototype testing at the Mile on Sunday.

Pike snapper — I like it!  Your other snappers look awesome. Is this one a whole new design?

All my action was when it was horizontally snowing the 1st half hour. After that it became dead calm and never got another touch.

Nice Tim!  Must hold heat good...I wanted to smoke 2 of our 5 turkeys (with a Jalapeno Marinade Injection ofcourse) but my WSM just can't keep up with in this weather.

Im making jerky today so I actually prefer to smoke in cold weather bc im trying to hold around 180 and thats not possible with my setup in the summer.  My unit is not great for precision smoking but with a  good regulator and cold weather I can hold sub 200 like the eletric units will do.  If I was trying to cook something in the 250-300+ temp range right now id be chewing thru the propane bc to get back to your original point, mine doesnt hold heat well.
