They look to be legitimate 12oz gills!! Am I mistaken? How long were the ones at the bottom? 10" 11" Really nice gills!! Have a crappie day, Crappie Rob.

Those are some pretty good gills. The gills a lot of you easterners post are thinner than ours in build, but are generally longer too.

TroutFishingBear,

The pictures I have seen of your bluegills appear to be hybrid bluegill, a mix of a green sunfish and a bluegill.  They do get thicker, but they are shorter.  I doubt bluegills are native to many of your mountain top reservoirs out West in Colorado, so I am sure your DNR stocks them with the hybrids.  A lot of new pond owners around here in Indiana also stock the hybrid bluegill.

Wouldn`t quite call it mountain top,,but is around mooresville,,,lmao...   Ya  alot of hybrids compared to the gills and rockbass we stocked this place with,,,they have produced nicly
