circle hook for tip-ups

Anyone use a circle hook?  I used them for drum down south and was amazed how well they work.  No belly hooks.  Every one in the corner of th mouth.  Figured this would work for burbot on tip-ups.

i used them last weekend in maine looking for pike got a ton of bass they work great i was using big ones too give them a try

They do work for burbot real well, but I'm not a fan of them for bony mouthed fish like pike.

What size, that would of worked good last night every fish sucked it all the way down even a 12" fish with a 1" gap hook

they work great for all kinds of fish if you have the right size, i found some #12 ones last summer and i caught a bunch of bluegill on 'em all in the corner of the mouth. they work great.

I use a hook with a 3/4" gap to 1" gap.  SInce the law forbids smaller eh!
