my wifes the best! here i thought i was gonna try to build a light weight shanty from aluminium tubing and some cloth. BUT when i got got home she had went and got me a eskimo traveler 2 person shanty!! how cool huh !

I have a wife like you, My wife bought me my shanty, my new bow and I mentioned this Christmas about a new handgun I wanted.
She has told me that my gift this year for Christmas is a .41 Mag Handgun.
I really am blessed and I tell her often that.

WELL I HAVE TO SAY THAT IAM BLESSED ALSO ,ON OUR HONEYMOON WE WENT CRAPPIE FISHING FOR THE WEEKEND.WE HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR FORTEEN YEARS NOW ,AND SHE HAS NOT WENT FISHING WITH ME SINCE. 8)

I took my wife fishing once on Lake Erie in 3-foot waves -- she threw up-- and has never asked me to take her again. Worked out well for me

The Honeymoon ah yes.....
Just so happened that Goose Season opened right in the middle of our honeymoon. We first went to Canada and then smack dab in the middle of the honeymoon came back home to Upstate NY and we both went goose hunting, she did not hunt, just came along. After the hunt we went back to Canada.
Don't know if I was lucky or not but this inspired the wife to want to go Turkey Hunting. She took a hunter safety course and we bought a 20 gauge for her. For a 90 pound 4 foot 11 women she can handle a 20 gauge 3 inch magnum pretty well. He first year I called in two nice birds for her and she shot at one. Afterwords she stated how she felt no kick like when we sighted in. ;D
She now is thinking deer hunting would be a good idea to try and even mentioned that since I have the shanty and the heater inside that it may be worth a try to go ice-fishing.
I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing? ;) ;)

My wife doesn't fish, hunt or golf...34 years and she's never complained once about me fishing, hunting or golfing......not that I remember anyways.

rgfixit, I have also been married 34 years to my wife. When i read your post to her, she laughed and said to tell you that she has noticed that we hunters, fishermen and golfers have a tendency towards having selective hearing. Just a little insight to how the womans mind works..........olds

My wife and I (Grandma and Grandpa as we're now known) are just sitting here having a sip of Drambuie laughing. She said to me " At least I know you're going fishing (for fish) when you say you're going fishing."
A man with 3 such all consuming hobbies has little time for other foolishness.

i had a new Clam 5600 waitin under the tree along with a "Trip to Cabelas" fer more jigs and such........ ok... so the clam wasnt exactly under the tree but just as good!!! :-)

I've get a great wife also. I get layoff a little early this year. Was just going nuts with no good ice around, so she book a moose hunt for US. Best hunt we ever been on.She can fish and hunt as good or better than alot of men, maybe even me. Shoots a .300 Weatherbee Mag. and loves the feel of the power. We noramally get around 10 deer 2 elk and alot of small game a year. I,m still ahead of her in the numbers but She's catch'n up fast. My 13 old dauther going be just as good of a catch as her mother though. First year hunting she all day all 9 days and on the last day of season shot a nice 6 pointer. At about 125 paces with a 12 gauge. I,m a luck man to have these women in my life.
