-
Thanks Again Roy !
-
keep those votes coming!
-
I to am curious to see some numbers
-
hard to pic just 3 i chose lakers perch and pike, but i really do like to fish for crappie salmon and trouts.what i fish for really depends on what time of the winter it is and what lakes are frozen.usually my first ice spots are for trouts salmon or pike then when the big lake freezes i fish for perch pike and lakers. late ice, when the big lake is unsafe i move to a smaller lake to fish crappies and pike
-
I see 3 votes for rockbass so far. I wonder who.... ;D
I also chose pike and crappie.
-
Hey, how come I can't use all 3 votes for PERCH! It's the true fresh water delicacy, eh.
-
What about goldfish...wish I could find that picture! ??? It was a monster :o
-
I based mine on "fish thru ice" not eat. Bigger is better.Cant wait for total count.
-

...and what of the ever-so-popular bowfin? ;D...Did hook into one of them on an ultra-light once...like a rock bass on steroids! :woot:
-
I really thought lake trout would have hight numbers than it does right now.
-
My favorite, the Crappie even though I'm hoping the Walleye will move up on my favorites list eventually.
-
i'm with ya there bart,i'v only ever iced 1 walleye and it was a a far cry from being a keeper think it was like 10"
-
As much as I love chasing Lakers, it's good to see the Panfish in the lead, less pressure on the Lakers ! >:D ;)2

For those of you who picked other.....What is the"other" fish you like to go for?
-
Perch in the lead?! They just keep snitchin' my bait for Northerns!!!! >:(
-

Possibly multiple "Other" could be 1. Channel Cats
2. White Fish (Lake)
3. Kokanee (Blueback) But Trout or Salmon cover these, though very different.
4. Other
Lots of people catch lots of those three. But, no squawk here ~ Just trin' to help and in that light, the Poll could be modified by the Author, which will open another can-o-worms, ha.

I'd put pickerel #1 for most hated for that reason too.

wow looks just like my first and only ice walleye
-
I had to pick bluegill/sunfish and crappie cause that's about all we've got in the waters I fish.(Not complaining, I love 'em) I also picked "other", although I really don't target catfish, a 5 or 6 lber is a lot of fun on a panfish pole. I love perch also, but I only get to a good perch lake once every few years.
-
looks like crappie is catching up to the perch!
-
My votes go for crappie, bluegill and perch. But I am willing to catch whatever bites when fishing!
Paul
-
We are getting some good numbers, keep em coming folks !
-
My choices were brook trout, brown trout and my "other" is salt water smelts. :icefish:
-
For those of you who picked other.....What is the"other" fish you like to go for?
Lake Sturgeon. They are only available for 2 weeks (or less) in February, and spearing is the only way to take them. It's a huge deal around here.
-
1st....Perch 2nd ...Walleye
-
Had a feeling the Laker guys would show up !
-
i had to vote for crappie right off the bat... they are fun, taste great, bountiful in many ponds and reservoirs around here...and when i take my little brother fishing they never disappoint, ready and willing to bite and put up a fight. second fav is bluegill, only because it can be a challenge when they want to get finicky and you really have to finesse them into biting.. third went to the ol trout! i have loved stream fishing trout for years since i was young and i can pull the stockies out of a local pond left and right, way easier then a trout stream..
-

I think you need to really up-size your northern bait if da perch are stealing it. ;)
-
Looks like Crappie might just run away with it !
-
Wish I could pick 4 because if I'm not on walleye waters, I'm on Muskie waters ;D
-
very interesting results. :)
-
My choice was perch because this is mostly what I catch. Easy to find, catch, and can keep you busy some days. I would like to try for whitefish, and pickerel this year.
-
I went with Crappies, gills and pike, i love to jig for panfish while waiting for that tip-up to pop
-
i really like fishing for pickerel. probably gonna get some flack for it, but to each his own!

you spear sturgeon? do you eat them? ???
-
you spear sturgeon? do you eat them? ???
I will if I ever spear one. The average is only about 8% success rate, so it takes a lot of years of looking down the hole before one shows itself.
-
Big jump on the Perch this morning !
-
For those of you who picked other.....What is the"other" fish you like to go for?
I really enjoy catching and eating smelt
-
my other was for gators (pickeral).....not so much that i fish for them a lot, it's that they're animals and eat what ever you put down there, so catch them the most. good target when nothing else is biting.
-
my other is for channel cats, its fun catching 20 - 30 lb channels on a regular basis. I am lucky that I can catch trophy cats 15 minutes from home ( Red River ) trophy walleyes 15 minutes from home (Red River and Lake Winnipeg) and have a perch factory 30 minutes from home (Lake Manitoba)
-
I really enjoy catching and eating smelt

You must have a hell of a time trying to get crawdads to stay in the pipe.
