What's everyone biggest specimen thru the ice. Two categories......lakers and the rest.

Personally, I have nothing to speak of, hoping to change that this year.

It would also be great to see some pics.

My biggest Laker is 16 pounds in this my 5th season of laker fishing. I don't ice fish other trout as much, so I've caught about three rainbows in the 5 pound range. Hooked bigger rainbows and a much bigger mack last year.

31 lbs. lacker in 1982. A 3 lb. rainbow early this season. My lake is known for it`s large lake trout, so we fish for them mostly.

36 inch mac about 8 years ago. I'd guess she was about 14 or 15 pounds. She would have gone closer to 18, but she had recently spawned. 6 pound rainbow, about 26 inches.

Wow! It looks like I got my work cut out for me this year trying to catch a respectable trout thru the ice.

24" lbs. lake trout during the sebago dery last year hear in maine. Mines the one on the bottom. 2 onces different in weight 4.4 and 4.6 Both had a 5" yamaoto in there bleeies and my buddies had a plastic lizard too. That must have been the 2 onces LOL

Fish mostly lakers thru the ice when I go for trout. Biggest laker was caught in 2003. 26" fatty...weighed 7.5 LBS. Landed on 4# test jigging....brought up thru 6" hole in the ice. Catches of other trout species limited. Biggest brown 19", brookie 11", splake 15", rainbows none.

Largest to date: 31" 9lb brown - would've gone 13+ if had not just returned to the lake from the spawn.

Last year during the Heriman durby i hooked a brown that cirlced our shanty and took out 5 of our traps leader broke right when i got him to the hole, he would have went six pounds easy to bad i lost him

So far this year just a 3 pound rainbow. Workin on bigger. They just stocked some 3N rainbows in the local lakes so I'm itchin for next year to see how big they get.
