Sayers Lake Forecast for 2008
« on: Dec 09, 2007, 07:43 PM »
It looks like it will be a good year for dink perch and small crappies.  Hopefully we will have enough ice in three weeks to check out my prediction.  I know TUAB and FT are raring to get on the ice.

As long as they are FT legal they're going in the freezer.  Actually you can get a lot of meat off of those dinks if you use the Rapala electric fillet knife.  Any chance we could get support for the 9" limit again...that was the best year we ever had with perch in Sayers

P.S.  After advice from FT, might have to change my code name to TipupsnBasilHayden ;D

I like the latter better than the former although apple barrel is a lot less expensive than Basil Hayden.

Both are excellent over ice though! ;D

I'll second that FT.  On another note, that small hole in Colyer should be freezing up now ;)

I agree on the Rapala knife. Even though there mostly dinks I'm glad the numbers have held steady. TUAB make sure you bring some of that tasty jerky with you when we finally hit the ice

Jerky is almost gone so the ice at Sayers better harden up soon...or the musket better fire...weather not looking good for the weekend >:(  Might be a Black Mo kinda year if things don't start getting colder around here.  Hey WW, since you're the expert on this, what's up with that new Hooters Billboard that just showed up around the State College area ???

So far this years outlook looks a little better than last . lots of blue gill's in the 8 to 9 inch range and the perch are a year class bigger than last , some small but not as many as last year. on word yet an the late draw down but it  is usually in mid to late FEB.
