Spot on, I remember when that place wasn’t a S show when all my buddies were going to Plymouth and I’d stay up there. That was a death by internet for sure. To small to handle all that pressure.

Won’t be long and the ice should be “Tall” and “ Deep” that’s how a majority of them ask 🤣

Don’t worry they have a young child who wants to fish not them  they don’t have funds to drive to check but we do they have young children and no time, none of us have kids or anything, gotta help them out. They aren’t “ looking for your “honey hole“

Go check after you grow a beard Joe. I was in the north country today saw a few snowcapped peaks and some skin coats on the small protected waters.  Gonna troll tomorrow morning hopefully get a bow or 2 before I put the canoe away.

Only skim ice above the Notch..  Watching otters feed on small fish like corn on the cob.  My formula indicates that my area ponds might have 3" 0f ice by next  Friday.  But!  4" of snow tonight could delay that.  I'm patently waiting for 4"  of ice wherever I fish.

Just ran out to the wood shed and down to the pond out back in a t shirt... the air feels proper for the season.  Only and inch or 2 of snow and the pond was skimmed where the sun hadn't reached. Night time temps look good for the next 10 days. I'm guessing we get the 1st truck through the ice story by mid next week lol.

I'm headed north mid week to scout some spots. Hopefully by the end of next week or early the following week.... if the forecast stays the same I should find a couple inches hopefully.

There is a small retainer pond in the office park near my house, it has been skimmed ove for a few days.. not surprisingly, it is covered with rocks.. itll be just a few days before some nt wit  tries to skate on.it.

I'm going to take a little ride tomorrow after my dump run. I haven't left my property since I got home Wednesday after work, so I don't even know if there's snow down hill from me lol.

Smart...it doesnt take long to blow a place up, especially  early on..one of my local mud holes was totally covered, until the gale force winds ripped it all up.

Lake Thatwhatshouldnotbenam ed was locked up! I stood on it, the whole half inch of water underneath lol. It was just, you guys know, the little rush that comes with standing on the little ice. As I type this, I'm next to my woodstove....what is the draw to freezing your butt off. I wonder. Why do we think this is a good thing to do? Silly fishermen.

Saw a bunch of geese on a couple ponds while hunting this past weekend. Does anyone know the accurate count of how many geese on a pond to determine safe ice
