Upstate NY, First time out, December 7th. Going out after work today, March 7th. Uninterrupted, no thaws. It's been a fine season

After this week it might be more.  I'm loving it and if it goes into April I'm there.

I see warmer temps next week John. But the ponds in Chenango will be good for at least three more weeks. There is still 14" more on Whitney Point!

First day out in Northern Rhode Island was Dec. 14th for me this year.  First time I have ever been out before X-mas.

We got the early jump on ice here in my area of MI, too.  Still have 20" and looking to make it into April, but we'll see what Mother Nature has to say about it, I guess.  She took out most of Saginaw Bay in one day with that wind storm a couple weeks ago, and that was 16"-18" thick ice at the time....

There were options near Albany that offered safe ice at thanksgiving ….  but that's deer season  ;D

But the fat lady looks to be warming up ......  after next Tuesday there isn't a below freezing night in the forecast.
Goin' where the wind don't blow so strange,
Maybe off on some high cold mountain chain.

I punched in November, and I'm pretty sure we'll make it to May.  Still -25C most nights, headed for extension territory on some lakes.

Nw Iowa. Early November to probably early April. 5 months might be longest ice season ever.

Yes it's been a good year cut thru 12" of ice in North Jersey yesterday hoping to get at least another couple of trips in.
