new pictures of aqua view ri-pod

wanted to show everybody the camera tri-pod i rigged up. got a small camera tripod from walmart for 15.00. its the perfect size, doesn't go any higher than 2 feet.

i discarded the camera attachement and proceded to get the top off the center slide. recomend sawing off or using a cutting wheel. i was then able to get the whole center slide piece out.
i then cut the end ofthe center slide. now the cable can run through the center of the tri-pod.

then i took a grinder and slotted lengthwise the center slide. and cut a slot in the tri-pod center housing. after that you should be able to loosen the tightener which you cable will run through and will most likely be left on the cable. when you loosen that you will be able to take the center slide out put your cable through the slot in the slide and through the slot in the housing and then tighten everything back up.

now it should be all tight. but your cable will still slide easily through the center of the tri-pod. i used a small nerf ball that was in my kids toy box and it worked great. i drilled a hole through the center smaller then the cable and then sliced one side of it. it slides perfectly not to hard or to tight.http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj312/icezombie_photo/DSCN0473.jpg

Just bought a new aquaview, and it comes with small tripod, all the  same princaple, but cheaper made than the set up you have come up with. Nice job.Coondog
