GEAR
« on: Jan 21, 2023, 09:49 AM »
I have so much Gear for fishing its sinful. Open water light tackle, big lake trolling, plastics, hard baits, terminal gear. Same thing for hunting. I Love ice fishing but i am Done. ALL that ice gear just to maybe get out once or twice. Or head north for a short trip. Being a walleye freak, i travel for them on open water.  Point being... im gettin rid of the ice gear,  the drills, lures, sleds, the vexilar, lanterns, rods, reels, shanty. I will post pictures of some gear coming soon. Its a best offer thing. Im Just DONE with hopin for ice. Thats comin from a guy who,d rather fish than make cherry cordials. Pardon my Rant please, Stay tuned, pm,s welcome

I appreciate your sacrifice, this all but guarantees we’ll have 10” of ice for the next two seasons!
I wish I was good at ice fishing!

Thank you for your service in guaranteeing we will all be walking on water by thanksgiving next season!!

But seriously though, I think we've all had these thoughts... but why sell it all? You're gonna regret the day you don't have any gear and there's shanties all over your local water.... that or you wont have the means of taking an independent ice trip.

Just my two cents... unless you're in dire need of the money (which it doesn't sound like since youre saying best offer) or space, save it. If you got kids then show em how fun this pasttime is and give it to them if you really want to part ways with everything.

With the limited amount of ice we get, ice fishing gear is hard for me personally to justify buying.  I already have my boat fish finder and a sled.  So really all I've bought is a few cheap poles, an ice transducer, and one tackle tray worth of tackle.  I guess I did get a good deal on a hub shelter but I am thinking about selling it before next season.

That looks like a good list to sell from. Get rid of what you really don't need or use and use the money for something on your wish list if you have one. Doesn't even have to be anything to do with fishing. If your like me you probable have alot of other items like deer mounts, guns, traps. They've just been around for many years. That stuff sells well and it's going away sometime anyway.

Sell 1 boat and enough gear to finish the Pontiac. Use it to pull your other boat. I know a guy that pulls his boat with a 4 door square body that is dropped to the ground. Gets lots of looks at the ramps. When my nova is finished I plan to pull my boat with it as long as I'm going to a lake with a good ramp.

Sinful amount of stuff is just what I was thinking awhile back.  Plus I'm unorganized which makes if 4 times as worse.  Have tried to stop buying but it's time to thin the heard.  Not getting rid of all of it but 3-50 of everything is out of control.
