As northern zone deer season winds down, I start checking this board and planning when I can get my gear out and start prepping everything ...

First week of January is looking downright chilly.  C'mon ice!

Is there still fishing access at Jewel.  There is no DEC fishing access sign on RT49 and I could not locate the access to the lake through the woods to the lake.  I see a gate with posted sign where I thought the access was.  ???

lol!! I can sit there on the ice and fight those white perch all day. Crazy fight in them. I’ll stack em up on the ice and give them to the ol buzzard. 😁 I have no desire to clean and eat them.🤢🤮

black dot disease is propagated by fish eating birds, they complete the cycle of the parasite. the more you feed them the more chance they can poop into the water and then the fish can get the black dots...

The ol buzzard is my nickname for filetandrelease….we don’t leave fish on the ice unless we intend to keep them. It was a joke…..😁

Regardless of how they get them, fish eating birds EAT FISH and are going to do that anyway.........that has to be the worst argument in the history or arguments .....LOL.  Its not like they will say "gee I can't get any fish I think I'll have a burger ....."
