Would that QZ750 be a good reel to run on jaw jackers for lakers and salmon? I see it says 6 lb mono or 100 yards of 8 lb braid. I'd probably bump it up to 10 lb braid.

In my book it would be better for panfish and trout fishing. I would probably run one of the okuma avengers for what you're looking to do. One of the best features on the q series reels is folding handles, which makes putting them in a rod case easy. The handles don't need to be unscrewed to be folded, there's just a little toggle. I'm debating calling St. Croix asking them to add another one to my order lol

Daiwa QZ750 for $36 is a steal, I grabbed two!

I have a QR and QG but never tried the QZ. Temped to grab one. Seems like it's just even nicer?

I got one too but dang the special tow bar for these is spendy. :-(
I guess I could use a universal one and make new holes and not use the special cutouts in the sled.

Some people have been getting the Ryobi 750 in- lb hammer drill in a kit with 2 batteries for $80. The on- line price is twice that, but there is in- store clearance for less. I noticed this the other day when I was strolling through the store.  I was pleasantly surprised to see it applied to Rapala Slab Raps as well.  I bought a couple based on signage that said Rapala was 25% off and was pleasantly surprised to see them ring up at 40% off.
