This time of year they all get quiet. Nobody wants to make ice condition reports since they change too fast and nobody wants to post they're fishing and draw too much attention t the limited last spots. Tough time of the year for info. Good luck and stay on top if you take a ride to explore.

Non existent for most part in the true north basin over deep water has been open all year mdb even has like 2” of good ice if that rn

Back in ‘86 we went through the same ice situation. Ole Lindy had three Genny Cream ales, threw a table spoon of salt over the right side of his left shoulder and we had Ice in a weeks time. It’s science.

39-41.2 on the bigger laker lake up north.  They are just finishing spawning up there based on what I saw.

Harris bay should lock up in a couple weeks. Being cut off from the main lake, it freezes every year. Even when the main lake doesn't. :)

Anyway, Hudson River Mechanicville to Schuylerville is skimmed. A good sign. Huddle Bay is skimmed on the Algonquin cam. Cold snap coming, but with north winds down LG's length, right into Harris Bay, etc. Then a few calm days, and a warm up/rain. If water's really 37*F right now idk...

LG water temperature gauge was re calibrated but has been reading the exact same temperature (37.51 degrees) for last several days.  I find that hard to believe that since it reads to I/100 of a degree.  Probably stuck or just does not report correctly.  Nonetheless, water needs to cool off with some cold  and calm nights to freeze up.
