Title: Snow depth around La Ronge
Post by: sandman66 on Apr 12, 2019, 01:59 PM
I have a boat stashed at a quad-in stocked trout lake a bit south of La Ronge. Anyone been around that area the last week or so? I wonder how deep the snow is in the bush. I want to go get the boat and move it to a different lake - gave up trying to catch trout there LOL.

The snow has melted quite a bit, but we got another 8 inches or so last weekend. I think I know the lake you are talking about, and you will need to give it another week or so to get into it. Snow really blows into the draw on the trail in and it doesn't get much sunlight. Same exact reason that lake winterkilled a couple years in a row.
