Spearing Pike
« on: Feb 24, 2012, 01:21 AM »
I was on another site and some guys showed some pike that they had speared. Man,one was 35 lbs. :woot: Another guy showed 3 pike in his hole looking over his decoy fish. Looks like hunting and fishing at once. I wounder if thats something we might do here in Maine with some law change? Seems like some lakes could withstand the pressure fine. What do some of you think?

In lake Champlain in the spring you can shot them with a rifle in the swamp

I would think where it is an invasive species you could use dynamite.

It's been common practice here in MN forever. Go look in the spearing section, it has a huge following in the upper Midwest. It's a real challenge, not shooting fish in a barrel.
