I was on another site and some guys showed some pike that they had speared. Man,one was 35 lbs. :woot: Another guy showed 3 pike in his hole looking over his decoy fish. Looks like hunting and fishing at once. I wounder if thats something we might do here in Maine with some law change? Seems like some lakes could withstand the pressure fine. What do some of you think?

In lake Champlain in the spring you can shot them with a rifle in the swamp

I thought it would be a blast in a place like Sabattus, looking down a hole and spearing big fish ;D

definitely an adrenaline thing: waiting with nothing, ...... then waiting for a big one,..... then waiting for it to get in a position to spear, .......then waiting to get your spear into position to make the LUNGE!!!!!

Would any of you support rule change to allow spearing pike? ???

I would think where it is an invasive species you could use dynamite.

It's been common practice here in MN forever. Go look in the spearing section, it has a huge following in the upper Midwest. It's a real challenge, not shooting fish in a barrel.
