Nebraska Conditions Website?

Anyone know of a website out there that tells you the current conditions of some of the bigger lakes? Now is the time where we have to start watching the ice. I know most of the marinas are closed now so you cant even call to check the ice conditions or see what is biting and on what.

I tried calling the Trade Winds Marina, the marina down at Harlan and of course they are closed for the season. Cant blame em. If I owned either of them I would at least update the answering machine message every few days or so. Then again you and I would probably be out on the ice anyways so...lol

Sherman has good ice from what I hear and they are catching some walleye and crappie in the dam area.  Harlan, I wouldn't even bother cause the main lake isn't safe and the guys that have tried back up in the coves aren't catching anyhting and only marking shad on the flashers.

Thanks for the update. How thick is the ice at sherman?
I should be getting my Christmas present, ice gear, here in a few more days so Id like to get up to Sherman ASAP. Easy drive since I live in Kearney.

I went across the dam at Sherman yesterday in a virtual ground blizzard and there were five hardy souls down fishing around the floating wave breaker.  There were also a couple of shacks down the Trail 8 arm.  Must have been catching fish to be out in that stuff.
