Got out on lower twin 2/11
Top of is was slushy and froze as dark fell but every step you took made water bob in your hole so I think I'm done on Lower Twin for the season, got one pumpkin seed.

Fished Blue Lake yesterday.  VERY slow bite.  Iced. Few perch and 2 largemouth…..one was 17”…..so that was kinda fun to reel in. 14” of hard solid ice with no slop on top.

Was on Cocolalla at first light this morning.  Solid 9 inches.  Got one small bite. Eventually several other folks were out and I saw one fish caught.  Once the sun hit the ice it got a little noisy.  One loud POP right under me caused a slight pucker factor moment.

Fished mirror yesterday, it had a good 10” of ice it was also making noise all day, some of those running cracks sounded like ripping blue jeans when they come under your chair.  The bite was very slow, we managed 9 Kokanee and called it a day.

We caught quite a few awhile ago that were around 9” but these ones yesterday were only about 7” and very slow biters, how big was the Kokanee at spirit?

I caught a couple there this summer that were 13” and thick, the eggs were almost the size of normal salmon eggs.

I was on bronze bay at end lake.   9 inches ice.   Want to go from boat launch Wednesday and hit that first deep bay.  G

How do you access Bronze Bay and how much parking is there. Is there a public ramp there?

Jimbob there is a public boat launch but no parking but you can park just off of the main road and walk down it’s not far to the water. Good luck if you go I’m taking my dad out there tomorrow try to get him a few kokanee

I can't believe all of the comments on the ice making noise. That is good sounds that is the sound of the ice freezing and expanding. It is startling when a crack comes ripping right under your chair. I hope I have explained this well.

Was on Granite today.  Ice was 10-11” with the top 2 inches being softer due to the sun.  The cold temps coming will likely firm it up back up hard as a rock pretty fast.  We landed several trout, but the bite would turn off at times for quite awhile.

Also hit Blue last weekend and it had 14” of hard solid ice.  I imagine it will be good for a while yet once the cold temps show up early next week.  Looks like some good ice will hold on for a bit longer.

Did a drive up around Priest Lake today up to Indian Creek.  Not much ice at all and the cold temps coming this week will not likely provide any fishable ice on the south end.  The lower third of Cavanaugh Bay had ice but it looked thin and very sketchy.  (Did not drive north of Indian Creek so I don’t know what the northern bays look like).

Yesterday there was a fatality on the south end of Priest Lake due to someone falling through the ice just NE of Coolin by Soldier Creek.  Talked with one of the responders family and the ice was only 1.5” where the guy fell through. I’m sure there will be more info in the next couple of days.

With the recent warm temps many of the little lakes are still in good shape, but some aren’t.  The big lakes are not in good fishing shape at all for the most part.  With the cold coming this week the little lakes will likely be in great shape, but the big lakes may see more ice cover yet may not have the ice thickness to be safe.  Be smart and safe out there.

Did you fish down the lake from the Bronze Bay ramp?

Does anyone have any info on the Orange netting on the north east side of cocolloa?  I drove past the other day and say two or three rows of it on the ice?
