i've fished both,...had better time on butterfield lake w a nice cash of crappies and a ton of blue gills,.....the lakes r close enough together where u could have a bad first ice day fishing on 2 lakes,,,...I will most likely be starting out there or possibly tupper,....but i've only been to black lake on the ice by the narrow cliffs, and butterfield in the spring. any info would b appreciated
