Was a great event, Lots of fish caught. Was run Smooth and all prizes were given out. Great weather and a fun day on the Ice. I am guessing the ones saying fail were not there. Prizes for all the kids and then some. For their 1st time was very well run. ;D  Reason it was at Prov is they Plowed the area. and had access for Roast beef Burger truck to get down. As well as parking. Lots more to it then just Catching fish. And as usual Biggest fish won. a 30 inch Pike. ;D

Was a very good derby. Maybe they need a few more people on ice to keep rules 100% enforced for everyone. Or just clear to everyone. Species of fish eligible..only walk on one entry place..no shacks over holes before start...and no passing of fish.. And for sure no skidoos in fishing area.. Think most of these things are correctable with a few more people to enforce them. On the good side..Holes were spread out.. very good prizes..great people in charge...and location of derby was totally fine.. Looking forward to next year..

Me and. Buddy was at loneys point Sunday from 8am to 6 pm and caught 2 pike about 20 perch and a 3 lb walleye. 10 perch were keepers and 10 perch were little Dunkers. All and all a good day. First time ever ice fishing there either.

Looking forward to the Youth and Family Ice Fishing Tourney on March 14th at the Provincial Park Boat launch.  There were about 40 fish measured last year, and we are hoping that the fish cooperate again this year.  Pre-registration ends this evening, but we will still be taking registrations up to and including the day of the event.

We have over $1000 in prizes to be awarded this year.   There is also a cash payout for the winner in both the youth category and the adult category.

They are calling for some warm weather, and we look forward to a fun day on the ice with friends and family!  As always, shelters and electronics are welcome.  Anything to ensure that the kids have fun and enjoy the day!

To register, give me a call at 693-8586.
