Oh well a slow day on the ice is better than a day at work.

How true! A pot of baked beans on the stove, fresh-fried bannock, and a little rum & coke makes for one great day on the ice, fish or not!

Fished it all day today with 3 people. One small pike between us. Lots of perch on camera, but wouldn't look at anything. Anyone else have better luck?

Fished from noon to 5:30 yesterday. Two of us got 1 pike apiece. Both hit together at 4:50pm, just as we were packing up, in holes 40' apart. Anybody out there today?

Had some luck caught 2 and missed 4 as had tip ups out. The guys right beside us caught a 12lb pike, this one was 14lbs. Biggest pike I have caught ice fishing.

Lots of harder packed snow and basically only by sled or walk on. Saying that we seen 2 trucks on the south east side not sure about that area as we were on the sw end. Was told a week earlier a guy drove on and ended up working the heck out of his newer 4x4 and now in for a few thousand $ of repairs.

The guys beside us caught some larger ones last week. Still happy with this pike the week before. May headout next weekend with the 40lb test and mackerels for bait.

Big thanks to whoever plowed the snow from Lanz point to the island!
