live bait shops near des moines?

Hey gents!! As mentioned in a few other posts, I just moved here from Chicago. I like to use a tip-up or two with large golden roaches for big bass, pike, and musky. Any bait shops near Des Moines carry this kind of bait for ice season?

Large Golden roaches, not sure...  Polk City Bait might be able to help you locate some, if they don't carry them, or...  You might see if you  can order them from some of the live bait on-line sites.  I can't say I recall ever seeing them for sale at any of the local bait shops around here, but that doesn't mean they aren't available!  Good luck!

your barking up the wrong tree in iowa. unless you head for the miss, your options are gonna be minnows....... small or large. and the large are just med fatheads
