Title: Conditions of Deep Creek Lake ?????
Post by: mdeeter226 on Feb 08, 2019, 12:59 PM
Just found and joined and am unable to see the thread for the conditions of Deep Creek Lake for ice fishing.  Anyone have any information that they would care to share?  Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

I have heard and seen that edges have taken a beating this past week.  Also heard that there is lots of honey combing going on out there.  Imagine those 8 inch holes at the start of all this rain and warm weather.  That said, if you can get on, you may find some decent ice.  Gonna be very cold tonight and tomorrow.  Im going to wait a couple of days for it to tighten up, but thats me.  If you go, go careful, spud, try to go with someone else, and someone have a rope.....just my .02.  Have not seen anyone at the State Park on the web cams.

From 219 today....main lake and McHenry do not look safe...open under bridges and edges look rough.

How's DCL looking? Planning on fishing starting Friday through Sunday near Stump point. Any ideas of the conditions there?
