I do far better at night inshore on shallower flats and bowls vs. the deeper holes or channels I’d target in daylight. Glow jigs work better for me. Where I’d normally fish them in 20-30ish feet in day I’ll go down to 10 or less at night. Bait has never been needed at night either and I’ve been able to use bigger lures
Thanks for everyone's input. Got only 6 and one gill. Was using a Bobby Garland mo glo jig and a forage minnow with a rattle inside. Rattle jig was most productive. Deepest was 10ft and that seemed to be the most productive. Fish were not aggressive but did get a few to bite. Fish finder worked great. No clutter from plankton.
Good stuff salmonemia, love fishing at night. And like poolguy said... red dot glow predator is deadly on those night time slabs.
Before anyone chimes in about the legality of using fishing lights
Glow jigs and charge them often with a uv light. Have a second rod set up with something that makes some noise.
just bought a uv glow charger hoping it keeps them charged longer
Yes it will just won’t last as long or be as bright
