Thill mini-stealth floats

Looking seriously at these guys.

Maybe set it up as a slip bobber and match it up with a jig size that will hold it at about a 45* angle when in the water...this way it will indicate a positive or negative bite...anyone tried this...or use these floats at all?

i personally prefer a taller stealth float.

being so small would be tough to get a neg,pos bite.


im a huge fan of the adjustable foam slip floats. easy to adjust to heavy/light/neg/pos bites.

Just use the Thill Mini Shy Bites

That's what I was looking for...gonna maybe turn them into slip bobbers, mount a schooley reel to one of my ultra-lite rods with 1.5# test...still in the developmental stages

then you could use the Thill Night Brites or Splash or Centerslider   If your going to convert the shy Bite it would be tough to drill out. Take a look at the thread What's in your Tackle Box I have pics of other Thills a little bigger that might work for you.

If I were to drill a hole, it would be on the bottom perpindicular to float, not thru center vertically.

Used to use these exclusively...until I found the Venom's. Won't ever go back. Thills are now relegated to open water crappie fishing...

Hey Reb?...What ones are you using for say...#10 and 12 jigs? Noticed a couple of different types on their web page. My "inventions" with the Thills aren't going according to plan

Venom's are basically all the same...I use the AFS kit.  My jigs are usually tipped with a crappie minnow or waxie...I adjust the float until it acheives barely neutral bouyancy, which is easy to do with the Venom's.

I used to use the thill mini stealth floats but they would not hold my hook, weight and fathead up especially with a bigger fathead. I switched to those ice buster long and thin foam floats.

One nice thing about the venom floats is they can be set to sink very slowly and at times fish will rise up from the bottom and slam them as they come into sight.
