Isn't that public land? How was it done?  Just by isolating it from access with land-purchases and road closures? ???

Privite land before and after
They had to allow access because the Game and Fish stocked it
Now there is a new owner and the residents of the great state of Wyoming get screwed out of all the time money and managment of the Game and Fish in that lake.

MAN, THAT REALLY SUCKS !!!
THAT WAS (IS) A REALLY FUN PLACE WHEN THE PERCH ARE ACTIVE. THE BOWS WERE A HOOT TO CATCH.
THEY WILL PROBABLY OPEN IT UP FOR (TRESPASS) FEE.
BAD OLE DEAL...
RIP "LT"   This place just won't be the same...

From what I've seen of Healy, with its low water and stunted perch, there wouldn't be a whole lot of reason to pay a trespass fee.

The best thing that could happen to the lake would be to have some top-end predators introduced, preferably sterile hybrids (tiger muskie), to chow heavily on the perch.

I guess it really doesn't matter a whole lot now. . .  :'(

The way I see it you should be able to walk the ice down the river to the lake and not have to worry about tresspassing.  The water belongs to the state of Wyoming as long as your not on the land your safe.

I guess it's the principle of the matter.  Their wasting out f@#*in money   Every year I pay just a little bit more and Do we see better fisheries or facilities????   It's rare if there is any change at all.  What is this world coming to??????

MAN, I HAD A BLAST OVER THERE 2 YEARS AGO. I MADE SEVERAL TRIPS OVER THERE FOR PERCH AND CAUGHT SOME REAL NICE ONES. THE BOWS WERE ALL "TOO" BIG TO KEEP.  :o

Mooter:

I agree with your sentiments.  One of the reasons that I see myself fishing more and hunting less in years to come is because of shrinking hunting access.  I, too, hate to see similar trends with waters previously open to the public.
