Safe ice in the Berks?
« on: Feb 14, 2018, 07:54 AM »
I live in Western Mass but looking to fish in western Western Mass = the Berkshires.
Any locals know how safe the ice is at Twining or West Lake?
My wife will be coming with me and she would not be thrilled about “walking the plank”. If need be, we could travel farther to fish safer ice.
I plan to live forever. So far so good!

Should be fine at all of them.  There was a lot of ice out that way.

Reliable friend told me 10”plus pretty much everywhere out there.    Probably enough to make it thru all warm nights and 50 degree days coming up.  We are headed out for our vacation week pike trip on Monday.

Agreed. Ice in the Berkshires for at least two more weeks - longer if the nights ever get cold again
