Let me know if its locked or if it isn't plowed ...the DEC via Email assured me that it would be unlocked and plowed this season ...if either is the case I will Email them and advise them.

I just checked the SB launch area. The cable is not there and the parking lot is plowed but you better have a good 4 wheel drive vehicle to get in or out. Road plows have the entrance pretty well blocked.

What were the walking conditions on the ice and what is the best size bait for walleye there.  I'm planning on taking a trip there soon.

I posted walking condition a few pages back.... look back a few pages and you'll find out..... Or take a look at the Greenwood reports and conditions page in the NY or NJ area for greenwood.

Also Greenwood has special regulation for walleye since it is a border water.... It closes on February 28th not March 15th like the rest of the state.

Thanks for the info, I didn't realize the season closes early there.  Any recommendation on bait size?

If you plan to park in the launch area you better have a very large 4X4 with good tires and a running start to break through the snow bank left by the town plows. The lot appears to be plowed out but the town locked the entrance doing road plowing.

I don't know which entity is in charge or responsible for the lot. Could be the DEC or the Power company that owns the lake rights or possibly even the town of Forestburgh but who ever it is has dropped the ball. Just about any truck with a plow could clean this up in a few passes.

Guys, I need some advice. I'm planning on heading down to West Branch on Saturday. What would be a good setup on tip ups for browns? Any tips for jigging up some perch while I wait for flags? I would really appreciate any advice! PM me if you want.

I'm going to try jigging up some more perch tomorrow, going to be balmy sunny weather compared to today's teens..Harriman is much closer for day trip and sometimes decent perch ;D yes Gamalot , Look for us straight out from the ramp should you decide to go (swb) swinging bridge this weekend.

Which lakes in Harriman do you usually fish for perch?
