i here whaley lake marina has been sold and is not open for the public to ice fish. any truth to this?

Yep, it's true.My buddy called Rocco 3 days ago and he told him it's sold and there is no more access to the lake. What a shame.

I was just wondering if you are allowed to ice-fish the West Branch Reservoir? I've never fished there before and I heard that they stock it. Any info would be great. Thank you.

Ice fishing is permitted, both night and day at West Branch and all of the downstate reservoirs in westchester/putnam except new croton and kensico. night fishing for smelt is actually quite popular at wb, as is walleye

Be careful men, this rain did serious damage .. Had 8-12 inches northern Orange County on private lake .. Edges opened up,and I drilled a hole just off my dock had 4-5 inches and fading .. Not sure I'd trust it had a good 2 inches of water on top eroding away quick .. Hate Mother Nature!

you can icefish that reservoir both day and night but you need a reservoir permit that you can get from the DEP

were do guys fishing putnam and westcheaster get bait when fishing the res once we get a good freeze i was looking give them a try being just over a hour from me beats a 4-5 hour to the dacks

My son got Couple of pickerel and small perch on tip ups

Cross river on 35 about 4 miles east of 684 is opened.
Tri County in Patterson .
Bills on 55 in Wingdale.
