I figured it was about that time to start logging in. Temps are dropping. Outlook is looking good this year. Hopefully we will all be to fish this year. Looking forward to fishing with you guys this year

1 of the ponds I drive by on my way to work the last 2 days was 60-75% skimmed over.....of course by the time the sun comes up it melts, but it is a step in the right direction...

its snowing here in goshen now and for the last few days the stream that wraps around my back yard had been skimmed till midday... waters cooling good! its comming!!!

kb......keep an eye on that pond near Salt Point Tpke. (I forget the neme).... it usually freezes first (shallow) and it's loaded with Trout. About two hours drive for me, but worth it!!

Anyone fish Orange Lake recently I remember fishing it with my dad and a guy he works with a bunch of years ago and caught some nice pickerel wondering if it is still a decent fishery.

I fished there last few winters & we did catch some nice picks...
I think the best was almost 27"... last year ice was not the best...

There are many ponds along that route. If its the one Im thinking about, It does have some deep holes and nice big crappie. If you can think of the name, let me know......

But sooner or later, the storm will come

sooner or later a deer will be dead.

Cold here in NW Sullivan. Snow, and a small amout of ice on the tiny ponds. Hope for a better year than last.
