Yes. I took the yak out last weekend and hammered the bass (c&r), and the crappie. All in all about 40 fish boated. Ha ha almost all crappie were caught in my favorite jigging area. Everything went back except for 10 that were marinated in teriyaki sauce and grilled over a bed of onions, then served on a bed of brown rice.

When I get really desperate for a deer, I just duct tape a bunch of arrows on the front of my car and drive up and down the taconic parkway.  ;D

well, I heard once that the most effective weapon for deer is a bullet going 55-65 MPH with headlights on it.....

I almost took a one out with my bike. (Actually it almost took me out.)  That one was close.

SHOCKING NEWS !!!! My 31' Wellcraft went down "at the dock"!!!  Couldn't believe it when I got the call.  After it was re-floated, a surveyor spent three hours trying to find the cause of the sinking.......with no results!!!!  He saw absolutely no leaks to cause the sinking.  Eye witnesses said the boat sank in the span of one-half hour's time!!!
The only up-side to all of this grief is that the insurance company said they'll pay for the whole thing.   Time to look for a new boat!!

Ouch!  I too wish you and yours my deepest sympathy. That is a sharp loss.  I too am a kayaker, tho mostly for fishing as I'm too cheap to get a real boat.  I wish I could help you out on the articles, but I'm not in the area.

Well the original notification I received wasfrom Lake Superior State Park in Sullivan County, but in fact is was in Sandy Creek off Lake Ontario...he in turn did not actually drown, he hit some rough water and had a panic attack, which triggered a heart attack...33 years old.....Thank you all for the kind words, his family is staying strong...He will be missed
