drove around the county today,,not even a hint of hard water on any of the lakes,,ponds are skimed over,,going to be awhile

looking at the 10 day forecast and the 2nd and 3rd would be great ice making days if it was't for the wind the 4th looks good but after that not so good... when is this cold weather going to stick around?

could not take it anymore,,dropped the boat in,1/3 of the lake had skim at 12pm,by 1600,all gone,water temp 42,,took home 3 pig perch,,,had to get it out of system

ice balls, i havent fished li, in 10 yrs,its too costy to travel therei use to fish captree a lot for fruck and i use to clam ther, i miss them days yes i am setting hear wating for ice ,happy new yr evert one be safe

Semper Fi................. Hi Mike; Yes Blackfish is closed for about a month (breeding season)...it will open again in about two weeks. Guys have been catching really big SLOB Blackfish as by-catch while fishing for Cod/Ling/etc. I see things are still all H2O up there. If it doesn't get cold soon we'll all be screwed for the season.
Had my boat shrink wrapped today....the guy who did the job showed up in shorts and a tee shirt. Can't blame him, itwas 56 Degrees & sunny!!! Is this really New Years Eve?

Worked 14 hrs ot last night then fished from shore on diverting and croton falls this morning-one small bass and a big hit that I missed (maybe a walleye?)

Hope we get ice soon so we can all have a happy new year.......
