That was us with the fire and BBq , I don't know how long they stayed out I had to leave at 3 ,I promised my grandson I would take him sliegh riding (getting to old for that s#%$)
I was with the Blakesley clan,we will probaly be in the same spot for the contest. We have been in that spot for the contest for the last 5 years I've been going.

Hey Tim,

We know Jim, he lives two doors down from my daughter and son-in-law and kids, they share the same right-of-way to the lake. My wife and I went over to the kids house that evening about 6PM and
the lanterns were still out their but when we came home about 9:30 the lights were gone and the trucks were gone from the club house parking lot. Great day to be out tho. Probably see you in Feb
if not before.

you can ride with me or follow ...your call...i'll be checking the ice on sat. maybe fishing in fallsburg with iceballs...river ice is almost gone...and the little ponds by my house took hard hits...need some deep freeze again...

we are back to cold up here, but not planning on fishing til Highland, unless by some miracle, I pull another paint/carpet/baby stuff assembly job out of my butt by Friday nite or Sat nite for fishing this weekend....who knows

plenty safe ice, it is the border state and lower region 3 that needs a few nights to be safe/safer imo.. by weekend it is going to be sub zero too

I'll be there at the Highland Contest with about 3 to 5 guy's from NJ. We'll be staying at are hunting camp 2 miles away

Fri to Mon because of the day off on Mon. Sun do some fishing till 12 then it racing time BOY"S THE DATONA 500 the beer will be flowing

Shawn yes it is Alta lake on the maps (google, Yahoo). I had the same problem. If you go to the satelite view you will see a "road" that goes around the back side of the lake. That is where the registration is. If I remember correctly the road leading in is a little rough but too terribly bad.
