I think I'll try Greyrocks this weekend. I haven't fished it since the water level went down a few years ago so I guess it will be kind of a shot in the dark. Move around alot, I suppose.

I'll let you know how I did.

augergas,

Be carful on Greyrocks. I have fished that lake many times in the winter and from experience the ice thickness varies alot. I once was standing on 12 inches of ice and moved 20 feet and was only standing on 2 inches.

we caught some real nice walleye by the dam this summer, 18 fish all over 18 inches one day. I have never iced it though, and dont know how hard it will be to find them since the lake actually looks like a lake again. water was up to the boat dock this summer. By the way, the bait shop wasnt open any of the times we were up this summer, so you might get your bait before you go.

Didn't go to Greyrocks today because of the wind. We went to Glendo. Anyone else try it?

Glendo was pretty slow, good bite late in the afternoon for about 20 minutes but mostly small fish.

Greyrocks could use another gulley washer like the one it had last year.  the water is at the very bottom of the oldest boat ramp.  you could launch there last year but we'll have to see about this year.  Still lots of underwater hazards though.....
