Keep an eye on the Montana reports and conditions page. It will show up there. Also this cam site when it's back up and running.

Oley, get two more posts and then you can see the reports page. There is a thread on Gtown with a map. All the info you need is in that thread:) if you go this weekend be real careful. You are on the leading edge of fresh ice there and the lake may not be capped yet:)

Thanks for the reply! I just joined today still figuring the site out. Hoping to take a trip that way later in the year. I do most of my ice fishing at Tiber looking to expand this season. Thanks again!

FYI the Georgetown thread is new this year, in that they archived the past several years.  So there really isn't anything on the reports page yet since we don't have ice yet.  Check out the archives section.

I see that Tinker, darn. I tried to find the map I made with all the bays labeled and it's no where to be found in any of the sections which is real convenient for everyone:/

I fished Georgetown Lake for years and its an early morning bite for the big rainbows.  Shuts off around 0900.

Also, if you stay in the local motel (7 Gables Inn last I was there 15 years ago), get to the buffet before the ski crowd.

There is no snow just a thin light layer of ice/snow with clear spots of shiny ice. Kind of hard to explain but basically there is no snow, i guess just ruffled up ice surface.

Was there friday ice was about 12''. Fishing was very slow a catch every half an hour to an hour, caught limit of trout a salmon and one kokanee off by sunny side.

Georgetown has around ten inches of ice this morning.  Snowing and cold.  Salmon starting to bite.  Watch for soft spot around denton point.  30 feet out.  4 feet of water.  Its no fun to fall in.
