My Solo does. I let it warm up till the exaust is good and warm. I have seen what the piuston looks like on an auger that never got warmed up before drilling. Still ran, but it was scored to heck.

Yeah i own a motorcycyle shop and i see alot of 2 stroke dirtbikes come in in the fall time that have been cold seized to lean of jetting for the weatherkinda thing sorry to get off topic... But yeah i have seen the same thing .... It can happen to a auger to, maybe not as easy but i still prefer to let it build up some heat and let things expand at the same rate ;D

I know that you want to start drilling right away . BUT it said in the directions of my Strike Master to let it warm up for 2 minutes, and if you do . It will run just fine. I have found that you only have to do this when you first get there. The rest of the day it works fine.   Jerry

I normally let it warm up for a minute. Usually when the exhaust disappears. My Eskimo runs great even cold. No cold running issues at all.
