Good morning-afternoon everyone

14 degrees  squeaking into the 20’s a little later today. Tomorrow afternoon into the evening some more freezing rain, wind, and much colder for the ditch runners out celebrating.

Eddie good for you taking Monday off, I hope you get to spend the day chasing trout

IW what has the old weather cat been up to? I hope the Cpap keeps getting better

WW at least the store shouldn’t be as busy ;D   If the Grand kids were at your house, they not only would have known which remote you needed, but they probably would have synced it for you. Good luck getting the new one set up ;)2

John I so envy you with a new little chocolate, we have had two here. The first one made it to 12 before he succumbed to cancer, then we got another one which lasted 9 years and again got cancer. Both behaved better than most kids and it was an honor sharing our house with them. My wife would  love for us to have one more especially now that I am home all the time. Both ours loved going to the shack and finding a swamp to crawl into. Oh on the chewing…….That should taper after a year or so ;D Dirt and sticks, they love it

TT I remember one time years ago at a wedding dance. I bumped into a nice looking girl and spent time dancing and visiting with her. It wasn’t until after 3-4 beers that we discovered we were cousins ??? Talk about a bucket of ice water getting dumped on your head :woot: I still see her from time to time and it’s  always a good laugh when we talk about it.

The Christmas tree is out! I spent the morning helping get things put away; everything has its place so finding it next year shouldn’t be a problem. I wish I could say the same for the 50% off next year’s Christmas cards. Why can’t we ever find them ???

Hope you all have an excellent day no matter what’s on the planner  Stay safe

Good Morning Everyone,
  Happy New Years Eve!
26* with light winds this am, high of 36 here today with some rain expected.

Marv...have you considered getting another pup? Saw the eagles again yesterday, but they weren't close...hopefully get some pictures of them today....along with some decent fish porn, lol.
OS...how did that soup turn out, one of my favorites!!
Tom...believe the ruts are more from making 3 point turns in the driveway so she can pull straight out. Guess its a good thing I didn't build a wall there, lol.
John...congrats to your son on taking 2nd in the tournament, and your buddy on that potential NYS record muskrat, awesome!   Glad the new pup is fitting right in, they sure are full of surprises sometimes, lol. Best of luck with the fishing tomorrow!!
Wally...better luck today with that remote!!     Any decent ice yet on your lakes?

Was going to make a road trip this am and fish a new lake about 2hrs. away, but had a buddy cancel last evening. Going to stay local again and set up early.
I saw a post from one of my sons friends who was going to be fishing this same lake yesterday, and he mentioned it was his B'Day. I fished my spot until about 9am yesterday, then went searching around and found him. Just so happened there was a thermos of hot Irish coffee with me in the sled....   Surprised the heck out of him when he recognized me after I pulled up on him, lol.
Asked him if he had a cup, but all he had was an empty chocolate milk container...that will do! Filled er up to the brim and poured one for myself...toasted him on the ice with a Happy B'Day! He had a smile ear to ear!.
  Time to get ready....cawfee's on...
Have a great day all, be safe, best of luck to those fishing!

                Good morning Eddie , ER's,
It's 25* and partly cloudy here on my hill with a high near 35*. ::)
Eddie........That sounds like a great way to celebrate ones B-day, on the ice with a warm up cocktail!
Marv.........The weather cat is out on the prowl as I type, it's his routine to get a snack the first thing then go out.
Wally.........The technology these is puzzling to me, they make a remote and TV's with a code, sometimes the TV doesn't have the brand
of TV you have on the list. Good luck with it today!
OS............My wife said just last night making Pea soup from our left over ham from Christmas dinner, she already made a Turkey soup.
Maybe I'll ask her to make Ham and bean instead! ???
Not much going on today, we're going out to dinner with #2 sons in laws then to a comedy show in Glens Falls. I hope to be home
and in bed before the ball drops, News Years celebrations aren't what they use to be.
I hope everyone has a good and safe New Years Eve, and I will be back on line next year. :woot: :roflmao:

Good Morning ER's 27 with rain coming in a few hours then snow. For all heading out today good luck. Might have to try the local sewer grate to see if I can catch a few. It's only 20 ft. from the lake and holds fish. Have a safe New Years Eve.

Good Morning. 21 degrees.

Wife is doing well. They pulled the tube out on Sat. Having that out she sleeps better and can move without discomfort. She can also breath deeper.

Bowling team ran into a team that was on fire last night. Lost all 4 points and dropped out of first place.

Eddie, you are getting on the ice. I haven't seen anyone on the lake in almost 2 weeks. With the lake being so high, I am sure the edges are iffy. Lake is at early summer levels. Never seen this before.

Everyone have a great New Years Eve and be careful....h2l

Good Morning Everyone

27 currently slipping down to 0 tonight. It sounds like the winds will be the main culprit tonight causing well below 0 wind chills. I will have to make sure and top the wood box off.

Eddie good luck on the ice today  Did you pack a sandwich and some cookies ;D : We have talked about a pup but that's as far as it has gone. There are so many reasons to get another one, but then we remember how hard it was to see our other two go. Guess you never know.

IW glad the weather cat is still on duty. Hope you have a good time at the comedy show

OG good luck if you hit the sewer grate

WW good luck locating the new remote  Hope it's a plug and play.

Not a lot going on here today. My wife has today off and of course tomorrow so I am guessing she will be hitting me up for some cribbage and who knows what else. The s-i-l had to work so I am on duty

Hope everyone has an excellent day :thumbsup:Safe travels to anyone heading out tonight.

Happy New Year!

Morning all,

H2L....glad to hear MrsH2L is doing well  any idea when she'll be released again  ???  sorry to hear about the bowling losses  :(

Eddie....nice of you to toast your son's friend on his b-day   good luck again today  ;)

IW....enjoy your evening out  :)  like you we'll not be out partying at midnight  :roflmao:

WS.....keep that fire roaring and enjoy the games  ;D

Other than a trip to the cable company, not much planned for today. Maybe a ride to fishing camp just to check on things there and watching the geese swimming on the lake that's still wide open  ::)  the 40* weather and inch of rain being forecast aren't going to help one bit  >:(

Wishing you all a happy, healthy and safe New Year !!!!!!!!! Careful if you're out on the ice or out on the roads  (once a Mom always a Mom  :woot:)

Good morning Gang,

We landed in Syracuse at midnight last night and made it home just before 2 this morning. Two and a half hours later and I was back awake and headed to work! Two guys from work are retiring after today so I wanted to make sure I made it in to grab lunch with them and see them off. One of them is the guy I was hired to train under as a replacement so I have worked side by side with him for three and a half years. Definitely going to miss having them both around! Hope everyone has a great New Years Eve and Day!

Good luck and stay safe!!

Good afternoon ER's !! We bought a new washer and dryer from Home Depot yesterday afternoon and upon checking the invoice after getting home, I noticed they had sold me the wrong washer model and when we called they had closed.  I went out this morning and got it straightened out! My ham and bean soup was/is excellent. I put chopped baby carrots, celery, and onions in mine and let it simmer until it thickens. You need cornbread to go along with it!! I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and please don't drink and drive!! :callcops:

WW, you do know it doesn't hurt to let the 0's to continue on south and west.  might dip just below zero tonight.  Would like to have more than one day before going back into the 50's.

Getting a dusting of snow now, highway was a little slick on the ride home, just enough that I will need to clear the drive.  My plan is to take Wednesday off, and give one of the lakes a try.  :icefish: Should be a little addition to what ice has already formed

Best to all, and stay safe.

Happy New Years to all my fellow 9;45 posters may all of you see good fishing in 2019. I woke up to rain this afternoon still falling weather guessers say it will continue through morning hours of New Years day . Calling for high in the fifties tomorrow before cooling to thirties on Wednesday. I was out earlier drove by some smaller ponds ice free or open shore lines and bad looking ice.
Ice Wanderer hope you had a nice dinner with son #2's in laws and good time at the comedy show.
Eddie nice way to surprise your son's friend enjoy the fishing while you can I know things may be cooler in your section of NY. from posts here on I.S. seems god portion of the state waiting for "safe" ice.
Wallyworld did you find everything in good order at your fishing camp. Do you finally have the proper remote for your cable system.
fishin John congrats to your Buddy on the muskrat. Also a big    to your son on his performance at the tournament going to have to search on You Tube for videos of double arm bar being applied I'm more familiar with the single. Happy jake is fitting in well might need to find some puppy safe chew toys to protect your furniture and leather goods.
OldSailor your soup sounds great only times I've had soup with ham find it to be very salty tasting. Given all the recent talk about items not lasting may the new washer and dryer exceed their expected service times. Good Job helping your daughter with the new bed hope she learned some thing so she has idea how to do similar job in the future.
Whopper Stopper how was the cribbage do you have one of those antler score boards. As you know pros-cons to pet ownership best to you and your wife whatever you decide about getting another lab.
Hunts2long great to hear you wife is doing better and tube is out may she be able to come home soon. Better luck next Sunday with the bowling.
Deerfishyfishy good to read your home safely, hope your first day back was not to tiring. May the replacements for your retiring coworkers be good additions to your work team.
IFF best to you on Wednesday's trip.
Raquettedacker seen you post in the What Makes you Grumpy thread guess this is the best time of year for the surgery on your wrist. May you have a quick recovery and be able to do some ice fishing.

Have a safe and good New Years day. Best to everyone fishing.

Good Morning Everyone,
20* and much lighter winds on the Hill this am, high of 28 today.

Capt.Jim...I never did see the ball drop either, down and out about the same time as you, lol. Hope the painting job goes well today for you Sir!
OS...maybe you can pick a nice day this season to get outfished by your daughter, those are some good times!  :icefish:
I-45...best wishes sent your way this am, good luck with today’s meeting!
Wally...glad you got your power back on anyway, those winds were relentless all day! Our lights flickered a few times but we never lost any power.
Bud...best of luck to you and your buddy on the ice today! That ought to be one heck of an experience for a Floridian drilling holes to fish....hope the bite is hot!
Jeff...hope that shoulder is feeling a little better today for you Sir!
Marv...any plans of getting out with that hub soon for a maiden voyage?
H2...hoping your wife is coming along better each passing day and it won’t be long before she returns home Sir!

Well, my vacation has come to an end...but it was refreshing! Didn’t get the few trips in up North to better lakes I had hoped for, but staying local worked out just fine testing gear and getting back in the game...no regrets!
Not certain what’s on today’s agenda, but it’s a short week to start back with anyway!
Have a great day all, be safe, best of luck to those fishing!

                   Good morning Eddie, ER's,
It's 16* with light winds here on my hill with a high near 25* expected. ::)
Eddie.........It's to bad that you didn't get a north trip in, I heard of some nice fish being caught. MW's friend caught a 43" 24 lbs.
Northern on Sunday. MW and family went New Years Eve day and got in to some nice Lakers. :flex:
Marv.........I was opening the door for the weather cat to go out, he took one whiff and jumped back about 2',  what was out there
I haven't a clue, but he didn't like whatever it was.
Wally........The winds were horrific yesterday, it's no wonder your power went out, like Eddie our flickered but never lost it! :o
I-45.........Good luck with your surgery, when is it scheduled for. ???
H2L..........I'm glad to read that your wife is more comfortable with out the tube.
Bud..........You have a great friend letting you outfit him with gear, you get to pick out stuff and he pays for it. :flex:
Capt.Jim....I went to Times Square when I was in my twenties to see the ball drop, never again, people at that thing are animals.
We got home from our night out and stayed up long enough to watch it drop on TV.
Today is take down all the Christmas Tree and other stuff the wife puts out.  :woot:
I hope everyone has a good Wednesday either back at work or out on the ice!

Good morning Eddie! Good morning everyone

6 degrees with a wind chill in the minus teens. A warm up is right around the corner, so some say ???

Eddie hope your short week goes well  I am toying with some fishing ideas but these last couple of days I have been content with stuffing the stove.

IW I see you are in the hallway. Hope the day finds you refreshed and feeling better

WW hope the wet weather moves on and you can get some ice forming weather. Did Mr WW have to go on any calls New Years Eve? I read where there were some 111 DWI's in Minnesota for the night. Personally I was thinking there would be more, maybe some are finally getting the idea ??? at least we can hope

45 hope your consult goes well today

h2l best wishes to your wife and her fast return

Not a lot going today. I need to get into the Chiropractor if possible this morning and I am going to stop at one of the Fleet Farms and see if they have some Victor mole traps. According to their web site one of the stores have a few and I would like 3 more. They show them for $7.99 which is their normal price, my neighbor bought some last fall off Amazon for $22 each because he needed them. Out Of Sight are the ones to have.

Morning IW and WW you both beat me.

Hope you all have an excellent day  Stay safe.
