First day with my handmade ice fishing rods. I built a 26" UL, 32" UL and a 36" MH. What a blast. If you have been following my channel, you've seen me use a 28" Medium Power rod all season, which was a little heavy for perch and crappie. Such a difference with the UL's. Fishing was a grind initially, drilled about 20 holes in the 5 hours I fished, but was able to find some quality fish. Hope you enjoy!

  Nice rods.  Must be really cool to catch fish with a rod you made yourself.  I fish with 29 inch quick tip style rods and that 32 inch ultra light looks like something I would like a lot.

I initially like the 32” better, the 26 UL moderate action was great, but felt a little under armed with the crappie I caught.
