DJ,
The last time I ice fished there...I came off of Rt44 and we couldn't find a hole that wasn't full of weeds... I eventually tried to clear the weeds with my auger and dropped the shiner down about a foot... caught some Pics...
Maybe if you try it down by the dam it might not be as choked out with weeds.
There are no pike there either.
Steve

Thanks guys appreciate it. I'm always game for new ponds. Last year my goal was to pull a largemouth out of 20 ponds and lakes..lets just say I got 23 :}  although they weren't from the ice guess I shouldn't brag here. Thanks again

No pike in there, some real nice largemouths though. Like coldicesteve said it is loaded with weeds just about everywhere on the lake.

I went in across from RT 94, It was fenced but you could go behind the guard rail and get to the water... Not sure you can do that today. But you could always jump the rail...that should be in the State right of way and NOT PRIVATE.  The problem there is the weeds.. they drop the lake level so the weeds are touching the ice. we walked out 500 yds drilling holes looking for clear water, no luck. I took my power auger and buried it to the motor and by moving it in a circular motion cleared out an area around the hole.  We caught several nice pickerel but no bass.
