NICE How thick was the ice mike?

Did you catch those on tip-ups or a pole?

A solid 3-4". It felt completely safe.  ;D
Are you coming to Case on Saturday, Scott?

Thanks everyone, and especially to Polar! It was a great start to the season...
It definitely relieved some built up tension.

Nice way to start the year. Great Fish............

Those are great fish.  I have never fished Allen Lake, but it is on my list of lakes to fish someday.  Too many choices and not enough time.  That is the great problem we have living in this area.  Thanks for sharing.  I have a couple questions for all of you guys going to Case Lake this weekend.  What is in Case to take you away from that kind of brook trout fishing?  Do you ever catch any browns in Allen?  Fingerlakes browns are just under the ice in the winter.  Just a thought.

More tradition than anything. We probably won't catch any fish anyway.  8)

Sounds like a fish story to me hali-man.  Please post some pics of those fish you don't catch.
