I dont understand why people cry because they dont have some of the fish availible in their area. I would be suprised if everyone on here isnt in the same position. We cover the entire world with this tourney, we cant expect them to add every fish in the book. Target what you have availible.

Bottom line is this is a free tourney with a lot of time , effort and hair falling out put in by people that are graciously volunteer their time .
Don't worry about it if you may or may not have ice when everyone else does or if you may not have a certain qualifying fish in your area .
Just be thankful that this is even happening , target fish you do have  when you can and have fun !

Thank you to all the people who are dedicating your time to the tourney . You will never be able to satisfy all the contestants so set the rules you deem fair and leave it at that . If someone don't like it  ..... don't participate !
A little abrasive ? Maybe but how much time can you realistically put into a free tourney .

i am just wondering why only ten species of fish are on the leader board. There are sooooo many more common fish like whitefish for eg. whitefish are widespread. other species also

Ten prizes = ten categories. Also, I don't think many people target whitefish?

No matter how we did it someone would lose out on what we already have.  Ten categories is more than enough to offer every member an opportunity at several species.
As already mentioned this is a free tournament and for FUN. There are only so many prizes and there are only so many hours in a day.

Scott and I have come up with a viable solution which I will reveal after Christmas.  ;D

Doug, I think you do one hell of a job with this tournament! I don't want to guess how many hours you put in with getting sponsors, checking entries, and just arranging everything. Thank you for your hard work! I think most members really appreciate all you do.

If you can figuire out how to stand on water like Jesus did, I believe Lonewolf will accept your entry. :o Otherwise, you must be standing on ice or on shore with ICED lake in the background. You should appreciate this since it makes me drive 6 hours to ice instead of 10 minutes to open water. ;)2

The 375 were entries I had checked. There were about 815 entrants who signed up. This years we have around 800 but there's still time left.  ;)

thanks Lonewolf and IceShanty for great new sponsors this year and just running and putting on a great Ice fishing online tourney.  :) Those slammers look cool and are a great drawing prizes, holly cow.
Now all we need is some ice come Jan. 1st, 2007.  :-\

Again, thanks so much for all the time put into prep, checking entries, and all the time talking to and setting up new a great sponsors.

Thank,
Camofish

Going to be a very lopsided tourney considering the eastern seaboard is without ice ;D You guys are gonna have to fish HARD once you get it to catch up :flex:

As long as there's ice it should work out. While some are in the mid season slow down the late comers will be on early ice.  :)

I updated the main post with most of the pics/links for prizes.  ;D

Theres plenty of ice in central Wyoming, we don't have any seasons for a particular fish. There are lakes here with every fish the tourney is looking for.  Many of our lakes have a six line limit and we can fish all night.  Mix that in with the fact that there are only 425,000 people in the entire state.  We may not have enough fishermen, but we have plenty o fish.

Bring on the tourney, we are ready!!!!!!!!!

and kudos to those who have put it on and take care of it.
