I am going to be in this area.Is it worth trying the Sandy Channel recreation lakes?

You might be able to fish the open water around the shorelines...  but getting onto "good ice" ain't likely.

Spud bar in, track out the same if you find access.  And remember to monitor conditions so you can safely get OFF!
